Fairtrade Fortnight – order your event pack now!

Submitted by on February 10, 2017 – 10:54 amNo Comment

Fairtrade Fortnight is upon us once again, with this year’s theme being ‘Add a little Fairtrade to your break’.

The food on our tables, the tea and coffee in our mugs, all from farmers who toil, sweat and slog. Predominately, Fairtrade products are found in the categories of coffee, tea, juices, breakfast spreads and fruit

However hard they work to provide the things we depend on, millions of farmers in developing countries aren’t paid what they deserve. It’s not a new problem. The Fairtrade Foundation work tireless to highlight the need to amplify the voices of marginalised producers.

When we come together we can change the way people think about trade and the products on our shelves – the Fairtrade movement is made up of ordinary people doing extraordinary things in their communities for Fairtrade.

Previously the Foundation have provided information packs to retailers, schools and organisations, but to save printing and paper, they’ve created an Event Start Pack to order online, along with posters, stickers, shelf talkers and event leaflets. The packs are free, and the Foundation only ask you to pay for the postage. Click on the link below to have a browse at the shop – these resources will help you plan and take part in an event that long term, will help Fairtrade producers across the globe.

Fairtrade Fortnight runs between 27th February to the 12th March
