Naughty But Nice – Ms. Cupcake Vegan Baker Extraordinaire

Submitted by on June 14, 2013 – 2:20 pmNo Comment

Meet Ms. Cupcake- she’s a glamorous, fifties-styled cupcake maker extraordinaire based in South London’s Brixton Market. Her cupcakes are light as a feather, as sweet and tasty as any you’ll eat, and what’s more her delicious treats are also completely vegan!

Ms. Cupcake is driven not only by her passion for baking but also her inclusive foodie philosophy. She says “I believe that regardless of what we can or can’t eat, we all deserve a delicious, decadent treat every now and then”. This goes for cake fans on a gluten-free diet too; many of her recipes are gluten-free, or can easily be adapted to use gluten-free ingredients.

Ms. Cupcake and her enthusiastic team of bakers created their Brixton cake shop to be open plan, so everything can be baked and decorated onsite in front of the customers. Their extensive menu includes cookies, squares, layer cakes, muffins and doughnuts… not to mention over 100 seasonal varieties of cupcakes.

Vegan and gluten-free cake fans will be thrilled to hear that Ms. Cupcake has recently launched a book full of recipes for her baked delights. She brings her North American influences to the mix with recipes like peanut butter cookie sandwiches, as well as giving her own twist on British classics such as her appetizing bakewell tart cupcake. The book also has plenty of useful hints, hot tips and trade secrets for vegan and food-intolerant cooks.
