Submitted by on January 30, 2013 – 2:24 pmNo Comment

This recipe is taken from the Suma Childrens Cookbook, availiable in print for free by either adding BK079 to your next order, or emailing info@suma.coop and asking our customer information team to put one in the post to you. The delightful cookbook features wonderful illustrations by Helen Bridge, a mum and a Suma worker. All of the recipes are designed to be simple enough for children to cook themselves with an adult’s supervision. Happy cooking!

Dumpling Directions:

Mix all the dry ingredients in a
bowl, then add water gradually to make
    a soft dough.

Roll into 8 balls and add to the top of
the stew about 10 mins before serving.

Stew Directions:

Fry the onion in the olive oil in a large pan, season and add herbs. Add all the other ingredients, and cook on a low heat for 30-40 minutes. Place dumplings in top of stew, put lid on and cook for a further 10mins.
