Developed by our passionate members here at Suma, we launched ALTER/NATIVE back in 2018, with a commitment to providing ethically made, sustainable products that are as kind to your body as they are to the planet. ALTER/NATIVE embodies our dedication to quality and integrity and we thought it was about time we gave it the attention it deserves, and here’s what makes us unique:
Made with essential oils and love
We’ve poured over the details of every single ingredient in each and every product. You can trust us to have done our homework, so you don’t have to. We’ve developed a selection of gorgeous scents, and the entire range is responsibly sourced, Vegan Society approved and certified cruelty-free. Oh, and it’s made right here in the UK!
Kind to the planet, and your pocket
We prioritise both packaging and ingredients and are always exploring ways to reduce our impact. Our 5l refill containers are made from 100% post-consumer recycled plastic. It’s a bit trickier with the 20l containers, but we’re working on it, and they are at least 30% post-consumer recycled plastic. All our 400ml shampoos, conditioners, body washes and hand washes (the existing one missed out hand wash) use Prevented Ocean Plastic™. Our skin and hair care bars are completely plastic free and we have a range of eco accessories so you can take them anywhere.
