Mikron Theatre Group and Suma Foods Join Forces for a Repeat Performance

Mikron Theatre group, who present original live theatre with a strong musical element, will be staging a special performance of their “Fair Trade” play in liaison with Suma, the Elland based worker co-operative and the regions largest wholesaler of organic and natural foods.

This will be a repeat of the performance they did last year at Suma in their unique “Toilet Roll Theatre” now includes an extra scene in the play that features Suma, specially written by Mike Lucas, co-founder of Mikron Theatre and writer of “Fair-Trade” after he visited Suma.

Mikron particularly aims to attract audiences who may not regard themselves as ‘theatregoers’ in the conventional sense” said Lucas “or those who may find it difficult to access theatre centres, whether for geographical, cultural or economic reasons

To celebrate the success of “Fair Trade” both in theatrical and business terms, Mikron’s afternoon on Sunday October 18th will be staged at Suma’s Elland warehouse on behalf of staff, customers, suppliers and invited guests. The play is also open to the general public. “We had a whale of a time at the last presentation” said Suma’s Brand Co-coordinator Nicola Roebuck “and we look forward to seeing a lot of new faces this time to enjoy the show
