Organic your September!

org your sept 2-01

Our friends at The Soil Association are encouraging people to make one small change to their shopping habits and buy organic this September.

The Soil Association has lead on developing the Organic September campaign for a number of years, with great success for sales and increased consumer awareness through press and events. 2015 takes this further with some exciting new branding and a socially-led engagement campaign to really build consumer participation.

The idea

“We are, more or less, aware that organic is a better choice. But through habit or budget, we continue to do what we do and buy what we have always bought. For the month of September, I want to make a definitive choice and make one small change to my shopping habits and also share my thoughts about this change with those that I care about.”
Organic Your September

There’s a brand new campaign ‘ask’ this year; ‘Organic Your September’. Consumers are encouraged to make and share their small change.  The Soil Association want to make going organic as achievable as possible, so throughout September they’ll be sharing 30 small organic changes that are affordable and easy.  They’ll be calling on people to share their small change is for a chance to win great organic prizes. This campaign will provide valuable insights into how people engage with organics and what motivates them. There will be weekly themes by sector, to ensure there are plenty of opportunities to get involved.

What will happen?

If you’re a retailer you’ll have been sent a Soil Association organic toolkit with your Suma order, to help you participate in Organic September. The whole campaign will be driven by a combination of point of sale promotions and offers, digital content and a social media to motivate consumers to buy organic and suggest small changes to help them do this. Keep an eye on Suma’s Facebook page too, as we’ll have our usual array of organic recipes and inspiration!
