Some of the team attended the Halifax Courier’s annual Community Spirit Awards last night – an evening dedicated to selfless, caring and motivated individuals who aim and work to put something back into communities and caring for their surroundings. Suma supported ‘Community School’ – an award focused on local schools that work tirelessly in the area to raise their profiles and experiences for their pupils.

The event was hosted at Berties @ La Cachette – just on Suma’s doorstep in Elland. A gorgeous 3-course meal with coffee was served, with us sharing a table with 2 other category sponsors: Benjamin Roberts Solicitors & Calderdale Credit Union.

2 nominees were up for the award: All Saints J & I School and Ravenscliffe High School

Our lovely Julius went up to present the award – with Ravenscliffe School scooping the prize. Both nominees would have been worthy winners – well done to both for being so highly recognised within the locality.
