Who and what is hiSbe?

hiSbe, which stands for ‘how it Should be’,  is a brand new community owned ethical supermarket in Brighton, the first of its kind outside of London.

Their motto is ‘happiness before profits’ and everything they sell is priced so that they are able to cover the costs of running the business. The aim is to make shopping more affordable, more fair and more sustainable. It is an exciting venture and Suma is really proud to be one of their suppliers.

hiSbe opened to the public last weekend and we’d like send everyone there congratulations and wish them the best of luck.

Here are some pictures of the beautiful new store as it evolved – taken over the last few months after lots and lots of hard work.

“Working with Suma has been key in achieving the great range of products we have in-store. As well as being able to rely on their ethics as a co-operative business, the level of service and expertise which we have tapped into has been priceless. Suma have always been keen to support hiSbe and what we stand for and we are grateful to have them as long-term partners – for this store and the next!” – hiSbe’s Jack Simmonds.

If you are anywhere near Brighton – call in and check them out. You can find out all about hiSbe online here.
