Zaytoun Olive Oil wins a Soil Association Award
Suma supplier of Fairtrade Palestinian Olive Oil win Soil Association Award.
Suma are delighted to share the news that Zaytoun’s Fairtrade Organic Olive Oil has won the Soil Association’s “Commended” award in the 2011 Organic Food Awards. In addition, because the product was nominated by a member of the public, they have the accolade of “Commended by Consumer”.
Why are Zaytoun products so good.
Zaytoun’s products, from organic olive oil to juicy medjoul dates, are part of a range of fairly traded artisan foods reflecting a Palestinian culture of good food from a bountiful land.
Palestine is the home of the olive tree, with some of the oldest olive groves in the world, some dating as far back as 1500 to 2000 years. The olive trees produce fruit that supports over half the population and can be seen dominating the agricultural landscape.
The Mediterranean climate, rich fertile soil and use of organic traditional farming methods, makes Zaytoun’s Palestinian olive oil a world outstanding product.
