Organic White Wine – RS124

I Spotted this in the new products section of the July / August pricelist whilst working in the sales office last week. At a supermarket busting £3.99 for organic Sicilian white, I thought I’d try a few over the long hot weekend. Most went on Friday night, after chilling them in advance in our large chiller in the warehouse, The rest slipped down on Saturday afternoon. As described in the copy it’s a smooth easy drinking dry white wine with fruity flavours. The Bianco is lively and light-bodied. A cracking party wine made from the Grillo grapes native to Sicily. At only 12.5% it’s a weekday, school night drink as well…. Ric (Suma’s wine buyer) has only bought 600 bottles and being a tad short of the necessary £2,400 to buy up the whole lot, I’d recommend getting on this before it sells out, if not I’ll happily and steadily drink my way through it for you. It’s a one off purchase so when it is gone…it’s gone. It’s sister is the RS125, a red which isn’t my tipple but am sure it will be just as nice as the white. The Rosso is light-bodied but full of crunchy red fruit flavours. Nero d’Avola matches well with the ripe red berried Syrah to produce a Sicilian star to complement BBQ’s, summer evenings and drowning one’s football sorrows.
