Trevaskis Farm – a unique shopping experience

Trevaskis Farm, South Devon
Trevaskis was established in 1979 by Paul Eustice, who was tending vegetable crops and rearing his South Devon breed cattle, as his predecessors had done in the same parish since the early 1890s. It was after another fatal blow to the vegetable crop, due to a run of adverse weather conditions, that Paul realised the need for diversification. And so Trevaskis Fruit Farm was born. Fast forward 25 years and another generation of the Eustice family, son Giles, started an expansion that resulted not only in the large restaurant but also the opening in May 2008 of the Trevaskis Market, a unique shopping experience in Cornwall. It’s one of the best farm shops in the UK today and a model many could benefit from seeing.
It sells fresh fruit and veg from the farm, a massive butchery, and features an extensive fish counter (indeed as I write this there is a fish fair at the market this evening celebrating the fantastic range of fresh fish caught in Cornish waters, and some from further afield). Plus a huge deli and dry store with a great many products supplied by Suma. We at Suma are proud to be involved with Trevaskis Farm and if you are ever in this lovely area of Cornwall please indulge yourself and drop in!
