Suma members help raise money for charity in the dusk till dawn challenge
Dawn 2 Dusk

A group of Suma bods are organising a Dawn 2 Dusk fundraising challenge in the Lake District, which consists of 2 teams of 4 (the oldies and the young un’s) The challenge begins with a 50 mile bike ride, followed by a climb up Helvellyn and to finish with a spot of kayaking across Windermere. The aim is to complete the course between sunrise and sunset (approx 13 hours).
We are raising money for 2 local charities, Overgate Hospice in Elland and Forget me Not Trust Children’s Hospice in Huddersfield.
The race between the two teams is secondary, what is important is to raise as much as we can for our two chosen charities, check out the links below for an overview of the marvellous work Forget Me Not Trust & Overgate Hospice are doing.

If you’d like to sponsor the event then the quickest and easiest way is to go to one of the links below, we’re also happy to take hard cash.
In conjunction with the main event we are also planning a fundraising event on the 8th of May at Elland Cricket Club. The evening will include 4 live acts, a raffle, food and plenty of drink. Tickets for the event are available at a very reasonable £7.50 from team members and raffle tickets are £1 for a strip of 5.
May the better team win
