SUMA is supporting Garden Organic’s One Pot Pledge campaign to get Britain Growing

The One Pot Pledge is Garden Organic’s campaign to inspire and recruit 30,000 new growers for Britain. Aimed at getting people to grow something edible and organic for the first time, the campaign is all about helping put people back in touch with food and the environment. New growers will be supported by growing guides and clear advice to encourage and enthuse them every step of the way.

 One Pot Pledge champion Alys Fowler says, “Eating food that you’ve grown yourself is one of life’s great pleasures and one that everyone should have the chance to enjoy.  With the One Pot Pledge campaign we want to inspire and support people to try something new and experience the joy of growing their own food from seed to harvest.”

Garden Organic is the National Charity for Organic Growing.  Garden Organic conduct research on organic farming and growing,  safeguard rare vegetable varieties which were once the mainstay of British vegetable gardening in their Heritage Seed Library, work with schools eg they are a partner in the Food For Life initiative working with schools and communities in the UK.  Garden Organic can provide you with a wealth of practical advice, fact sheets, courses  and books.
