Suma Delivers Despite The Snow
The big freeze update
Despite the snow and ice our Suma drivers have all managed well in the difficult conditions, when the rest of the country has resigned itself to essential journeys only. We have many stories of the difficulties in digging cars and trucks out and even helping the general public.
Today we have trucks in Northumbria, Borders, Glasgow and Wales, all experiencing some of the worst weather conditions in the last thirty years.
Suma driver goes the extra mile
Whilst battling the treacherous conditions out on her run this Tuesday/Wednesday 5th/6th Jan 2010. Wales/Mersey driver (Kerry Hughes), went the extra mile. Kerry showed that her cooperative spirit extends far further than Suma. Donning her ‘care in the community’ cap, Kerry braved the harsh conditions, in order to assist an elderly lady whose mobility scooter had ground to a halt on a steep, icy, Merseyside incline.
Kerry said ‘What made this run most difficult is the lack of sat nav and the fact that the road signs were covered in snow’
Ah! the joys of being a Suma driver.
