Suma catalogue – not as green as we wanted!

potato_heart_mutationThe wrapper on our latest Jan/Feb catalogue was going to be sent out in a different, more eco-friendly wrapper, like the last edition. The substrate we wanted to use (“Bioplast”) is produced from a revolutionary (and exclusive) new material which is derived from potato starch.

However, we had to change our plans because of the coffee sample included in the mailing. The sachet turned out to be too ‘puffy’ for the machine that seals up the wrapper, so we had to use a self-sealing polythene bag instead. But we’ll go back to using the Bioplast material in a couple of months time. So – if you took our advice and put the bag in your compost bin, we urge you to go and fish it out!
