On Thursday 30th October Suma had a unusual delivery of a 40ft frozen container. Following the demise of Juniper Foods (a large ethical food wholesaler in Scotland), we decided to take the plunge and offer our customers a full frozen delivery service.

Delivery of the chiller unit

As a cooperative this was a fine example of what we do best; chiller units, shelving, labeling, thermal clothing all ordered, ice cream tested, suppliers contacted, freezer boxes bought, catalogue produced, and all hands on deck. In one week the operation was up and running!
